About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to oversee critical water and utilities infrastructure projects in the Coventry area. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong track record in managing complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of water and utilities civil engineering projects, from inception through to commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in project management within the civil engineering sector, specifically with water or utilities infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK legislation, standards, and best practices for utilities projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and AutoCAD.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Accreditation such as PRINCE2 or PMP is highly desirable.
