About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager specializing in renewable energy projects to join their team in Glasgow . This role involves managing the development and implementation of solar, wind, or other green energy initiatives. You will be responsible for everything from feasibility studies and site selection to construction oversight and grid connection. This hybrid position allows for strategic planning and administrative tasks to be performed remotely, while requiring essential on-site visits for project monitoring and stakeholder engagement, fostering effective management of complex, field-based projects within the burgeoning renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring they meet strategic, financial, and environmental goals.
- Oversee project planning, including scope definition, budget development, and timeline creation.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and smooth execution.
- Conduct site assessments and monitor construction progress to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Identify and manage project risks, including technical, financial, and regulatory challenges.
- Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects.
- Solid understanding of solar, wind, or other renewable energy technologies and project lifecycles.
- Experience with contract negotiation, stakeholder management, and risk assessment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
