About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Project Manager to join their innovative team, operating entirely on a remote basis. This leadership role is responsible for driving the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects. You will manage project teams, foster collaboration within a distributed environment, and ensure projects align with product strategy and technical roadmaps. The ideal candidate will excel in a remote-first setting, possess strong technical understanding, and be adept at agile methodologies, guiding the team to deliver high-quality software solutions consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple software development projects from concept through to deployment, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
- Manage and mentor a distributed team of software engineers, QA testers, and other project stakeholders.
- Implement and refine Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to optimise development workflows and team productivity.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication channels among remote team members, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies within the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software project management , with at least 3 years in a lead role managing software development teams.
- Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various Agile frameworks .
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional software projects, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Exceptional remote leadership and communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport and drive collaboration virtually.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and other common software development tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
