About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and organized Telecoms Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure projects in the Sunderland, Tyne and Wear region. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of telecommunications projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and mitigating project risks. You will have the opportunity to shape key projects within the telecommunications sector, working within a hybrid model that promotes effective collaboration and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and task delegation.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary equipment and services for project completion.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
- Regularly report on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven track record in project management , preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Experience managing projects from initiation through to completion.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- A relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a significant advantage.
