About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Lead Telecoms Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of large-scale telecommunications deployments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills and a deep understanding of project management methodologies within the telecom sector. You will lead a team of project coordinators and liaise with stakeholders at all levels, driving project success and fostering strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of telecom projects , from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Lead and motivate project teams, assigning tasks and ensuring accountability.
- Communicate project status, progress, and key decisions effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in project management within the telecommunications industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, fiber optics, and wireless technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
