About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Architectural Project Manager to oversee a range of exciting projects from their hub in Southampton , with a flexible remote working option. This role demands a blend of strong architectural knowledge, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial client engagement and design development through to construction oversight and final handover. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, remote-capable environment and possesses a keen understanding of project delivery within the construction and architectural sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of architectural projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these.
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contract administration.
- Conduct site inspections and progress meetings, resolving any issues that arise during construction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and building codes.
Requirements
- Professional Architect qualification (RIBA Part III or equivalent) or a degree in Construction Project Management.
- Substantial experience (7+ years) in managing architectural projects from inception to completion.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and familiar with BIM processes .
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
- Experience in client liaison and stakeholder management.
