Site-Based Project Manager - Structural Steel
Location: Sites across Europe
Salary: €80,000 + Car + Expenses + Living Allowance
Travel: Extensive European travel required
The Role
A market leading Structural Steel specialist is looking for an experienced Site-Based Project Manager to oversee the delivery of major structural steel projects across Europe.
This is a hands-on role, managing projects from mobilisation through to completion, working closely with clients, main contractors, site teams, subcontractors and Wall Steel's internal design, fabrication and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage structural steel projects from start to finish.
- Oversee site erection activities, programme and project delivery.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Liaise with clients, main contractors and project stakeholders.
- Monitor programme, costs, variations and project performance.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
- Attend site and progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within structural steel or steel erection.
- Strong understanding of structural steelwork and site operations.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams.
- Good commercial and programme management skills.
- Confident dealing with clients and main contractors.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Able to read and understand structural steel drawings.
- Willing and able to travel extensively across Europe.
