About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives from their base in Derby . This role demands extensive experience in managing large-scale IT projects, including system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and software development lifecycles. You will be responsible for strategic planning, risk management, budget oversight, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical IT solutions. This is an office-based role requiring strong leadership and collaborative skills to drive technological advancements within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of multiple high-priority IT projects simultaneously.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with IT leadership and business stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient and effective utilization.
- Oversee the work of project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Implement and manage project risk and issue resolution processes.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key performance indicators to senior management.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT project management , with a focus on large-scale implementations.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, office-based environment in Derby .
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
