About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in construction to join their team in Cardiff . This role requires leading significant construction projects, managing all phases from planning and design through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities and a deep understanding of construction processes and regulations, contributing to the company's reputation for delivering outstanding projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Manage site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project performance, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Control project costs and manage contract administration with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to ensure quality and timelines are maintained.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in construction project management , ideally with large-scale projects.
- Demonstrable knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and relevant legislation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent contract negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Proficiency in construction project management software.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential.
