About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects from inception through to completion. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to manage projects across various regions without the need for physical presence on-site daily. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety, leveraging digital tools and communication platforms to foster collaboration among distributed teams. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication within a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and closeout, in a remote setting.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans using industry-leading software.
- Conduct regular virtual progress meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and address potential issues.
- Implement and monitor robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards across all managed projects.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders, maintaining meticulous records in a digital format.
Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects (minimum 7 years of experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and building regulations across the UK.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in digital collaboration tools and virtual meeting platforms is essential for this remote role.
