About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Project Manager to oversee key initiatives within their manufacturing operations in Derby . This role is pivotal in driving process improvements, implementing new technologies, and managing capital projects to enhance efficiency, quality, and output. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project lifecycles from conception to completion, and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of manufacturing and operational improvement projects.
- Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams to achieve project goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Implement new manufacturing technologies and process improvements, overseeing their integration and adoption.
- Communicate project status, progress, and key outcomes to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on operational improvements.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex capital and operational projects.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and analytical tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline; PMP certification is a plus.
