Overview In this role you will lead civil/infrastructure projects to deliver on time and within budget while upholding safety, quality and environmental standards. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to maintain strong relationships, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with company policies. You will shape project execution through programmes, method statements and risk assessments, tackling problems proactively to maximise profitability and client satisfaction. Responsibilities - Support tender processes with programme and methodology input, and develop quality/safety/environmental plans
- Maintain effective construction phase programmes and progress tracking, including as-built and completion programmes
- Prepare and update Quality/Safety/Environmental Plans for projects and ensure actions are implemented
- Oversee requisition and procurement of labour, plant and materials within tender allowances
- Understand and justify commercial implications of project decisions to management
- Manage project and site teams and delegate tasks effectively
- Ensure methodology selection, method statements, risk assessments and COSHH are implemented
- Lead project compliance with quality, safety and environmental policies
- Provide financial oversight of projects including tender allowances, cost variances and forecasts
- Maintain client relationships to secure successful outcomes and future opportunities
- Foster a high-morale team culture and develop teams for the company’s benefit
- Develop supplier and subcontractor relationships for current and future contracts
Key requirements - Civil Engineering/Building qualification (essential)
- BSc Degree in Civil Engineering (desirable)
- Chartered status or approaching (desirable)
- CSCS Card - Manager (desirable)
- Experience with medium to major Civil/Process Engineering Contractors
- Good decision maker with sound technical knowledge
- Commercially and contractually aware
- Strong people-management and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction processes, safety practices and COSHH
