Overview In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery of complex government projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets. You will guide governance, risk oversight, and stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of business and technology change initiatives. You will partner with senior leaders to define objectives, monitor performance, and drive timely delivery with clear benefits realization. This role offers meaningful impact at scale within a public-sector context and requires hands-on leadership from initiation through closure.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-profile projects
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets/forecasts, and resource plans
- Define objectives, scope, benefits, and success criteria
- Monitor performance and take corrective actions to meet delivery commitments
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions across project lifecycle
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and delivery teams
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and decision-making forums
- Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate solutions to delivery challenges
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Manage project change through governance processes
- Provide leadership to drive projects to successful delivery
Key requirements - Experience delivering complex business and technology projects within structured project management frameworks
- Minimum 6 years in Project Management
- Recognised Project Management qualification/certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
- Proven track record managing multi-stakeholder and cross-functional projects
- Experience in governance, risk management, financial management, and benefits realisation
- Demonstrable experience with third-party suppliers and delivery partners
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including executive-level audiences
- Excellent planning and coordination using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Hands-on PM with experience on business-led projects and engagement with C-suite stakeholders
