Overview In this role you will lead infrastructure projects across diverse sectors, ensuring safe, efficient delivery aligned with client expectations. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and governance, driving successful outcomes. The position sits within Assystem’s Infrastructure team, contributing to major programmes from inception to handover. You will shape delivery approaches, foster client and stakeholder relationships, and promote continuous improvement.

Responsibilities - Lead planning, delivery and close-out of infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- Develop and maintain project plans, programmes, budgets, forecasts and performance reports
- Manage scope, risks, issues, change control and governance
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide leadership throughout delivery
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
- Monitor performance and implement corrective actions to ensure success
- Support procurement, commercial and contract management, including NEC where applicable
- Oversee handover activities, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives
Key requirements - Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience
- Typically 5+ years delivering infrastructure, engineering or capital projects
- Experience managing scope, programme, cost, risk and change
- Strong governance, controls and delivery methodologies
- Experience with NEC contracts (Early Warnings, Compensation Events)
- Stakeholder, client and supplier management capability
- Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
- APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent (or working towards)
- Water and environmental infrastructure experience desirable
- Experience in regulated infrastructure sectors (water, utilities, energy, aviation, rail, marine, civil engineering)
- Experience using CEMAR advantageous
