Overview In this Project Manager role you will lead civil engineering projects in the rail sector from a West London base. You will manage construction resources, schedules, and budgets while ensuring health and safety compliance. You’ll drive client meetings, build relationships with clients, and monitor commercial and financial controls to meet contractual requirements. The position offers either permanent or contract options and emphasizes client interface experience and sector knowledge in rail, electrification, and telecoms.
Responsibilities - Oversee construction resources (labour, plant, materials, subcontractors)
- Ensure teams perform to agreed schedules and man-hour budgets
- Guarantee compliance with Health and Safety legislation in construction activities
- Report to Operations Director and Managing Director as needed
- Lead client meetings and develop client relationships
- Monitor key dates, resources, production rates, and overhead targets
- Establish and maintain commercial and financial control systems to meet contract requirements
Key requirements - Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- Experience progressing from engineering to Project Manager
- Excellent client interface and communication skills
- Exposure to Network Rail, TFL and London Underground (advantage)
