Overview In this role you will lead design management and delivery for ports and maritime infrastructure, managing scope, program and client outcomes. You will coordinate with national and international teams to deliver complex projects, while acting as the client interface with port authorities and government bodies. You’ll mentor engineers and strengthen delivery teams, contributing to growth of AECOM’s Ports & Maritime capability. Responsibilities - Lead design management and delivery of ports and maritime projects (port expansions, marine structures, coastal infrastructure)
- Own and manage work packages with accountability for scope, program, and technical delivery
- Coordinate with teams across Australia and globally to deliver complex projects
- Act as client interface and build trusted relationships with port authorities and government agencies
- Manage end-to-end project delivery including design, commercial management and multidisciplinary integration
- Provide leadership across maritime engineering disciplines ensuring alignment with standards
- Support growth by mentoring engineers and strengthening delivery teams
Key requirements - Significant experience as Design Manager, Technical Lead, Project Manager or Senior Engineer in ports/coastal/maritime projects
- Strong experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex maritime projects
- Experience delivering design and planning for ports, marine structures or waterfront developments
- Ability to own and deliver packages within major infrastructure programs
- Strong client engagement and stakeholder management with port authorities or major clients
- Experience coordinating teams across multiple offices or international environments
