Overview As Project Development Manager, you will lead greenfield BESS projects through development and pre-construction in the UK. You will own the development lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to move projects from early-stage ideas to construction-ready assets. You will shape grid connection strategies, planning and land activities, and risk-managed programmes that deliver tangible energy storage capacity. This role offers ownership, impact on deployment scale, and a clear path from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities - Lead greenfield BESS projects through the development lifecycle
- Support grid applications, connection strategy and engagement with network operators
- Manage planning applications, environmental assessments and consents
- Support land agreements and maintain relationships with landowners
- Oversee site investigations, surveys, design development and constructability
- Own programmes, budgets, risks and project reporting
- Coordinate internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders
- Support projects through development and into construction
