Overview In this role you will lead the delivery of moderately complex road projects within the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF), coordinating scope, schedule, budget and resources. You will work with a multidisciplinary team across the London & South East region to improve local and strategic networks, ensuring quality and client compliance. You will manage stakeholders, procurement, risk, and reporting, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with clients. This is a client-facing, delivery-driven role that shapes infrastructure projects and drives performance within a global engineering firm. Responsibilities - Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Lead stakeholder engagement, managing expectations and client relationships
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; maintain risk registers and mitigation plans
- Oversee procurement activities and contract compliance within NEC or similar frameworks
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and reporting requirements
- Manage project documentation, milestones, resources, and change control
- Mentor and upskill junior staff toward professional qualifications
- Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders to deliver schemes/projects
Key requirements - Proven experience delivering projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budgets, and resources
- Understanding of NEC contracts or similar; contract administration and compliance
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and a proactive approach to process improvement
- APM PMQ or equivalent qualification is beneficial but not required
