Overview In this role you will lead and deliver complex European expansion initiatives within Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets. You will work closely with the Programme Director and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery that supports the European growth strategy. You will coordinate stakeholders, manage risks, and maintain governance across multiple regions and external partners. This is a high-impact role at the heart of strategic expansion with emphasis on delivery excellence and cross-border collaboration.

Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end project delivery with stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Define project scope and objectives with clear outcomes
- Maintain an up-to-date project/programme plan with tracked tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones
- Allocate and manage project resources effectively
- Manage budgets in collaboration with the Programme Director
- Conduct change impact analysis and engage stakeholders
- Coordinate internal and external parties (TPAs, fronting companies, Munich Re Group) and drive communications
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation plans
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with senior management, SMEs, and stakeholders
- Monitor progress, control planning, and take corrective actions to keep projects on track
- Ensure quality standards and portfolio governance compliance
- Mentor and support the wider Project Delivery team
- Perform additional project delivery activities as required by leadership
Key requirements - Proven track record in launching new insurance businesses in Europe (operating model design, regulatory approvals, entity setup)
- Experience launching specialty insurance products/lines in new markets (Construction, Renewable Energy, Property, Surety, Casualty)
- M&A experience including post-acquisition integration
- Budgets of 5-20m and timelines 12-36+ months
- Leading multi-functional, matrix-managed workstreams (15–50+ FTE) across people, process, data and technology
- Experience with Programme Managers and IT Project Managers in complex change programmes across multiple regions
- Deep knowledge of the London insurance market and specialty insurance
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level decision driving
- Ability to adapt communication methods for diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage ambiguity and changing scope/timelines under pressure
- Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid)
