Overview In this Senior Project Manager role you will lead a team on a 120m rail civils project in London, reporting to the Project Director. You will own client relationships from award to completion and drive delivery, safety, and quality to meet contractual targets. You’ll coordinate with the commercial function and tender activities as needed, shaping project execution and influencing outcomes across teams. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-profile rail sector project, offering scope to impact delivery standards and project performance. You will work within a culture focused on client satisfaction, safety, and robust governance.
Responsibilities - Represent the company in project delivery and maintain client contact from award to completion
- Build and maintain effective project teams to deliver objectives
- Monitor subordinates' development and performance against targets
- Provide operational support to tenders as directed by Tender Manager
- Act as Bid Manager on appropriate tenders
- Monitor quality and programme against client requirements and corporate targets
- Establish and monitor health, safety, and environmental responsibilities on site
- Ensure compliance with statutory provisions relevant to construction and rail
- Apply strong project management practices across projects
Key requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered Civil Engineer (preferred)
- Minimum 10 years' main contractor experience with rail exposure
- Understanding of Network Rail and TFL/LU procedures (highly beneficial)
