Overview In this role you lead insurance due diligence for live private equity transactions, acting as a trusted adviser to deal teams. You assess target insurers' profiles, identify gaps, and provide commercially focused recommendations to support acquisitions, disposals and refinancing. You will communicate complex risk and coverage findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, while coordinating with insurers and market partners to secure best value. The position requires managing multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment and delivering concise due diligence reports that influence deal terms and post-deal strategy.
Responsibilities - Lead insurance due diligence on live PE transactions across multiple industries
- Assess adequacy, structure and cost of target insurance programmes
- Review historical claims experience and identify coverage gaps or risk exposures
- Prepare and present concise due diligence reports to clients and internal teams
- Engage with insurers and market partners to obtain terms and support negotiations
- Manage multiple concurrent transactions, maintain records and meet deadlines
- Communicate complex technical information in practical, commercially meaningful terms
Key requirements - Experience in insurance broking, underwriting, claims or insurance advisory
- Exposure to private equity transactions or complex commercial clients
- Strong technical knowledge of property & casualty (P&C) insurance
