Overview In this hybrid role, you will lead civil works delivery for a major nuclear infrastructure programme from London with regular travel to Ipswich. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, budgets, schedules and contract performance to ensure safe, compliant project execution. You will align design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities while promoting continuous improvement. Responsibilities - Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex civil engineering scope on major contracts
- Manage budgets, schedules, risks and quality across large-scale packages
- Drive stakeholder engagement with internal teams, suppliers and delivery partners
- Ensure alignment between design deliverables, schedules and contract requirements
- Oversee contract administration, including variations, early warnings and compensation events
- Manage risks and opportunities with timely mitigation and escalation
- Lead configuration and design change management across lifecycle stages
- Coordinate delivery across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning
- Apply earned value management and performance monitoring to track delivery
- Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and knowledge sharing
Key requirements - Degree in engineering, construction or related discipline with strong technical foundation
- Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects
- Strong commercial expertise including contract management and cost control
- Experience managing risks, quality and programme delivery in complex environments
- Proficiency in earned value management, planning and project performance tools
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Technical understanding of engineering, procurement and construction delivery methods
