Overview In this role you will drive software-driven projects within the trading tech stack, coordinating Dev, pre-production, and production activities. You’ll manage release scope, risks, and go‑live activities across multiple teams, including data center and network aspects. The role sits in a 24/7, high‑tech trading environment and directly supports London operations. You’ll influence standards, improve processes, and help the firm scale alpha generation with efficient execution. This is a hands‑on, hands‑off leadership role for a technically savvy PM who thrives on problem solving and impact.
Responsibilities - Manage the scope of software-driven projects across development, pre-production, and production teams
- Coordinate and control release activities across support groups
- Plan and coordinate physical data center work (hardware/network) and application-layer configurations
- Provide services to help product and project teams deploy releases into production
- Manage risks and resolve issues affecting release scope, schedule, and quality
- Lead Go-Live activities including reviews, pre-deployment meetings, and checklists
- Serve as liaison between technology departments, shaping requirements and standards
- Participate in retrospectives and report on inefficiencies, successes, and improvements
- Create and maintain project documentation and plans (MS Project/JIRA/Confluence)
- Gather requirements in meetings and prepare detailed summaries for engineering, operations, and trading teams
Key requirements - Degree inScientific or Quantitative field (including computer science)
- Experience in financial services
- Proven project management experience
- Knowledge of Unix and Windows OS administration
- Experience with MySQL or similar databases
- Familiarity with networking
- Scripting knowledge (Shell or Python) a plus
