Overview In this role you will lead and technically guide municipal conveyance designs for water, storm, and sewer systems within the GTA and Windsor. You will work with a Project Manager and team to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction, mentoring junior staff and shaping standards. You’ll balance technical design with project scheduling, budgets, and client liaison to drive safe, compliant, and efficient conveyance solutions. Responsibilities - Lead civil conveyance design for watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer projects from concept to construction
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specs, and construction documents
- Develop proposals and technical reports as project technical lead
- Manage project deliverables and schedule in coordination with the project manager
- Perform QA/QC on drawings and reports
- Coordinate with construction during execution and address design clarifications
Key requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist registered in Ontario
- Minimum 15 years of municipal conveyance design experience
- Ability to interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings and geotechnical reports
- Strong understanding of open-cut and trenchless construction methods
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination is an asset
- Proficient in communication and project presentation with clients and team
