Overview In this Senior Project Manager role you will lead major construction projects from inception to completion within the South East Regional Build team. You report to the Contracts Manager and own project delivery, focusing on safety, quality, programme, and commercial performance. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Lead delivery of construction projects ensuring safety, quality, programme, cost, and contractual requirements
- Promote H&S, Sustainability, Quality, Environmental Management, and Integrated Management System policies
- Identify risks and issues, develop mitigations, review methods and materials to optimise performance
- Collaborate with planning, design, commercial and document control teams for best outcomes, with strong client aftercare
- Mentor and develop project teams through performance management and coaching
Key requirements - Experience delivering construction projects as a Senior Project Manager in a main contractor environment
- Projects valued in excess of 20 million with a degree (or equivalent)
- CITB Level 3 Safety qualification
- valid CSCS Card (professional qualification desirable)
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent commercial, financial and contractual awareness
- Strong technical construction knowledge with proactive risk identification and problem solving
- Excellent planning, organisational and decision-making abilities
- Experience in defence sector or complex secure public sector settings is advantageous
