Overview As a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager, you guide environmental assessments and permitting for diverse projects across Canada, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You drive client relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead proposals and reports. You will steer multi-disciplinary tasks, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic planning within a dynamic environmental services practice. Responsibilities - Lead project tasks and deliverables within environmental assessment and permitting processes
- Coordinate with clients, regulators, the public, and internal teams
- Prepare and tailor proposals and reports for project needs
- Manage environmental programs and EIA-related deliverables
- Conduct desktop studies to support regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement stakeholder consultation programs with diverse groups
- Collaborate across Canada on environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance
- Leverage client relationships to foster opportunities and support growth
- Participate in client meetings and professional organizations to promote Stantec
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Sector Leaders to achieve business outcomes
Key requirements - University degree or post-secondary diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in environmental project management, focused on energy, infrastructure, mining, industrial, or community development projects
- Experience with Class EA, environmental programs, compliance, and permit coordination
