Overview As Technical Project Manager you will oversee technically driven initiatives for a global FCA-regulated trading firm. You will coordinate between production engineering, architecture teams and external parties to maintain systems, plan growth, and deploy releases to production. You’ll manage scope, gather requirements, track progress, and ensure clear communication across Engineering, Operations and trading teams. This role combines hands-on delivery with strategic project planning in a fast-paced financial tech environment. You will work in London and help shape scalable, reliable infrastructure for high-frequency trading.
Pay / Benefits Responsibilities - Manage scope of software projects across development and production engineering
- Gather requirements and share detailed summaries with engineering, operations and trading teams
- Foster relationships with internal and external project resources and manage prioritisation
- Track decision points, deliverables, and progress through project lifecyle
- Create and maintain project documentation
- Lead design, development and deployment of work plans with tasks, resources and schedules
- Escalate and resolve project issues and anomalies
- Coordinate activities for physical data centre work and hardware/network installations
- Coordinate shipments and equipment orders with various teams
- Meet with trading teams regularly to understand growth plans
Key requirements - Project management experience in a technical finance context
- Technical and financial background with ability to converse with developers
- Exposure to market data and networking/server configurations
- Unix proficiency
- Knowledge of MySQL
- Programming experience in Java or C++
- Excellent time management and meticulous organization
- Strong communication skills across all levels, including senior management
