Overview In this permanent, hybrid role in London, you will oversee a 10-year Civil Works Programme for Sizewell C, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency across complex technical deliverables. You will coordinate design, interfaces and procurement, engaging stakeholders to manage obsolescence risks and drive continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to shape a major clean-energy project within a cross-functional team, delivering tangible infrastructure at scale.
Responsibilities - Programme oversight of SSCs within the assigned programme
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering studies by the Responsible Designer or key contractors
- Collaborate on post-FID contract preparation with terms and technical specifications
- Drive site-specific design changes and manage internal and external interfaces
- Engage early with stakeholders and suppliers to spot obsolescence and protect project replication
- Manage technical elements of procurement, complex contracts and commercial claim closeouts
- Embed lessons learned and knowledge capture into daily operations
- Maintain cost, schedule, risk and change controls using Earned Value tools
Key requirements - Relevant university degree
- Chartered status in Project Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems, or civil engineering for large industrial plants
- Proven experience managing major, technically complex projects from concept through handover
- Leadership coordinating multidisciplinary design and procurement teams to meet strict deadlines
- Commercial acumen in complex contract management, procurement, and negotiations/claim resolutions
- Project controls proficiency including cost, risk, and schedule control and Earned Value management
