Overview In this role you lead the delivery of complex refurbishment and new build projects in central London, guiding them from pre-construction through to handover. You will coordinate site activities, drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence while managing cost and resources with the senior team. You’ll work closely with design and commercial teams to keep programmes on track and ensure timely design information and procurement. The position offers exposure to high-profile schemes and a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
Responsibilities - Lead construction projects from pre-construction through to practical completion and handover
- Manage day-to-day site activities, safety, schedule, budget and quality
- Identify and mitigate programme risks and address issues proactively
- Monitor progress against programmes and produce short-term plans
- Coordinate with labour, plant and subcontractors with Project Director and leadership
- Deliver site briefings on requirements, safety expectations and procedures
- Plan site logistics, welfare, access, and operations for efficiency
- Oversee temporary works planning and implementation
- Oversee procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment
- Coordinate with consultants/design teams to issue design information and resolve queries
- Lead and develop site management and subcontractor performance
- Maintain workmanship standards in line with specifications and regulations
- Drive consistency through adherence to procedures and project controls
- Collaborate with commercial/project teams on costs, variations, and waste reduction
- Chair coordination meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors
- Maintain project records and reporting for transparency and audit compliance
- Conduct health, safety and environmental inspections and promote safety culture
Key requirements - Construction degree or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience as Lead Project Manager with a contractor on projects of 30M+ including Cut and Carve
