Overview As Project Manager in WSP's Pavement Engineering team, you will steer pavement design and maintenance projects for clients in the UK and overseas. You’ll support discipline leads to deliver safely, on time, and within budget across design to construction. You’ll coordinate meetings, establish robust processes, and act as the primary client liaison, translating needs into deliverables. This role offers exposure to large-scale, landmark projects and a clear path to professional growth within a global engineering firm.

Responsibilities - Support discipline leads to meet client expectations on pavement design and maintenance projects
- Coordinate project meetings and target-led workshops and resolve issues promptly
- Establish robust project processes with the client team
- Act as main client contact through design and construction phases
- Compile monthly reports for senior management revealing project status
- Facilitate project meetings, presentations, and progress reporting
- Manage contracts in line with NEC3/4 rules
- Oversee budgets: estimation, tracking and reporting
- Manage changes and delays with effective change control
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across pavements, drainage, structures, geotechnical, environmental, and traffic
- Support commercial management activities including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, forecasting and budget control
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables with client and stakeholders
- Ensure CDM 2015, health and safety, client standards and industry specs are met
- Prepare, maintain and monitor project programmes using MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent
Key requirements - Experience managing NEC3/4 contracts
- Experience delivering significant projects on a design-and-build basis with client-side perspective
- Experience with highways clients (National Highways, TfL) is advantageous
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary workstreams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Application and CEMAR is advantageous
