Overview In this role you will oversee civil engineering highway schemes in the Southern region, leading site teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will work within the regional team to ensure client satisfaction and profitable delivery while coordinating with estimating and commercial colleagues. The role combines technical leadership with safety and compliance, driving value engineering and tender competitiveness. You will help identify new client targets and shape project approaches to strengthen the division’s reputation.
Responsibilities - Profitably complete projects per client specifications and achieve client satisfaction
- Plan resources and resolve shortfalls or over-re sourcing in a cost-effective manner
- Coordinate interfaces with other parts of the division
- Ensure personnel and subcontractors follow company policies, are trained, competent, and work safely
- Jointly prepare Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
- Liaise with estimating to provide value engineering expertise and lessons learnt for quality tenders
- Deliver schemes profitably and on time to enhance the company's reputation and secure future business
- Assist in identifying new client targets and develop approaches with Commercial Manager
Key requirements - Extensive experience at project management level on civil engineering schemes
- Experience of Highways/Roads and design reactive and planned maintenance
- Degree qualified
- Ability to manage a project team
