Overview In this role you steer the development of utility-scale solar projects across the UK from early-stage assessment to pre-construction. You’ll work within a renewable energy team to coordinate planning, land, technical, and commercial workstreams, and manage a portfolio of projects with cross-functional partners. You shape development strategies, manage budgets, timelines and risks, and drive stakeholder engagement with landowners and authorities. Responsibilities - Manage a portfolio of UK solar development projects
- Guide projects through the development lifecycle from site identification to pre-construction
- Oversee budgets, programmes, risks and opportunities
- Coordinate planning, environmental, technical, legal and land advisers
- Manage relationships with landowners, local authorities and other stakeholders
- Support planning conditions, variations and consenting activities
- Identify and progress new solar development opportunities
- Collaborate with grid, engineering, commercial, legal and financial teams
- Support broader renewable energy and energy storage opportunities
Key requirements - Experience in renewable energy, energy infrastructure or a related sector
- Proven project management experience, ideally within solar development
- Strong understanding of planning, development or consenting processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively
- Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills
- Willingness to travel across the UK
