Overview As a Project Manager in Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets, you will steer end-to-end business change projects within a dynamic portfolio. You will partner with IT, data, SMEs and other change functions to deliver on time, on budget outcomes that create measurable value. You’ll lead scope definition, planning, resourcing, budgeting, and benefits realization while maintaining clear governance and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end project delivery and stakeholder engagement across levels and SMEs
- Define project scope, objectives and outcomes with stakeholders
- Maintain a current, actionable project plan with timelines, resources, and milestones
- Allocate and manage resources and budgets across projects
- Develop and manage business cases and benefits realisation plans
- Conduct change impact analysis and readiness assessments
- Coordinate communications and manage external parties (TPAs, fronting companies)
- Identify, document and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with senior stakeholders and SMEs
- Monitor progress, report status, and take corrective actions to stay on track
- Ensure quality of project outputs and governance alignment
- Support the wider Project Delivery team and share knowledge
- Perform other project delivery activities as required by leadership
Key requirements - Experience managing business-focused transformational changes in insurance, including Guidewire implementations, with end-to-end lifecycle responsibility
- Leadership of multi-functional workstreams and matrix teams (8–20+ FTE) aligned to a Target Operating Model
- Track record delivering projects with budgets of 1–5m and timelines of 6–18+ months
- Ability to manage ambiguity, tight deadlines, and complex requirements in a fast-paced environment
- Experience collaborating with IT project managers and other change management functions for large programmes across regions/markets
- Strong insurance industry knowledge and understanding of London/specialty market
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication approaches for diverse stakeholder groups
- Proficiency with agile, scrum, waterfall methodologies or hybrids
