Overview In this role you lead civil rail design delivery for Network Rail projects in London, guiding the design team and coordinating with on-site subcontractors. You’ll own technical assurance and commercial aspects, while pursuing new opportunities and strengthening client relationships. The position sits within a contractor environment expanding across operational and commercial sides of rail projects. You’ll work closely with senior design leadership to shape robust, scalable rail designs.
Responsibilities - Deliver civil rail designs
- Oversee the design team on site in collaboration with the Senior Design Manager
- Interface with subcontractors on site
- Own technical assurance and commercial responsibilities for the work
- Proactively seek new opportunities and grow existing client relationships
Key requirements - Experience as a design manager
- Experience in heavy civils and major projects
- Degree qualified (Advantageous but not required)
