Overview In this Finance Manager / Senior Project Accountant role, you will support project performance, financial planning, and decision-making across a growing, people-focused consultancy. You will partner with project leads and senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance and manage end-to-end project accounting. The role combines profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and insightful reporting to influence outcomes. Responsibilities - Produce monthly Management Accounts and project reporting
- Analyse profitability, WIP, project costs, utilisation, and KPIs to identify opportunities and risks
- Partner with project leads and senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance
- Manage end-to-end accounting for multiple projects
- Review project profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition
- Support month-end reporting and variance analysis
- Challenge and influence stakeholders to improve project outcomes
- Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
- Deliver meaningful financial information for strategic decisions
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Drive continuous improvement across financial controls and project accounting processes
Key requirements - ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Experience in a Finance Manager, Project Accountant, Commercial Finance or Business Partnering role
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities
- Experience in a consultancy, professional services, project-based or people-led environment would be advantageous
- Commercially focused with ability to translate financial information into actionable insight
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence with large data sets
