MEP Project Manager – Data Center Construction
Territory: Charlotte, North Carolina
Work Environment: Site-based construction position involving regular interaction with project leadership, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and clients. Travel requirements will vary depending on the assigned project.
Experience: 3–10 years of construction experience
Package: $95,000–$135,000 base salary, plus performance bonus and comprehensive benefits, depending on experience and qualifications.
Role Overview:
I am looking for a motivated MEP Project Manager to support the delivery of construction projects in Charlotte, North Carolina. This opportunity would suit a construction professional who wants to develop their experience and establish a long-term career with a respected organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day coordination of construction projects through to completion.
- Collaborate with project executives, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and clients.
- Track project progress, schedules, budgets, costs and quality standards.
- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders and related documentation.
- Assist with subcontractor engagement, procurement activities and project planning.
- Monitor potential risks and help resolve technical, commercial and delivery issues.
- Maintain consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to project reporting, cost forecasting and final project closeout.
- Help ensure that safety, quality, teamwork and accountability remain central to project delivery.
- Support the team in achieving key project milestones and successful outcomes.
Requirements:
- 3–10 years of experience within construction or construction project management.
- Background in commercial, industrial, institutional, mission-critical or another construction environment is welcome.
- No specific construction specialism is required.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable managing competing priorities within a fast-moving project environment.
- Working knowledge of construction schedules, budgets, project documentation and subcontractor coordination.
- Self-motivated approach with the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Clear interest in developing a long-term career within the construction industry.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
- Willingness to work on construction projects in Charlotte, North Carolina.
