Title: Project Manager
Type: Contract, hybrid
Location: Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $45-$60/hr
Summary: We’re supporting a banking client seeking a Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale, high-impact initiatives from planning through delivery. This role will partner with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Strong Agile and Jira experience is required, and prior Treasury Management experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, define, and manage comprehensive project plans, ensuring work is assigned and completed on time
- Identify and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, partnering with stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies
- Guide teams through project structuring, issue identification, and solution development
- Create project-ready deliverables with minimal oversight
- Apply project management methodologies, tools, and templates to drive execution
- Maintain ownership of timelines, milestones, and deliverables across all project phases
- Translate business strategy into actionable project work
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and leverage Jira to effectively manage project backlogs, milestones, and team deliverables
- Provide clear project updates and departmental reporting
- Support multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining accountability for all delivery work
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proficiency with Jira for project tracking, reporting, and workflow management
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in banking or financial services
- Treasury Management experience strongly preferred
- PMP certification
- Experience managing Treasury Management, cash management, payments, or related banking initiatives preferred
