Overview In this role you will lead the delivery of the Greens 400kV project within SSEN Transmission’s Onshore Capital Delivery portfolio, advancing the pathway to 2030. You will steer internal teams and external contractors, ensuring safe, on-time, and cost-conscious delivery while upholding governance and safety standards. The position supports Scotland's energy transition and net-zero ambitions through complex infrastructure delivery. You will work across sites and offices in Inverness, Perth, or Aberdeen, with a strong focus on collaboration and safety.

Responsibilities - Lead and coordinate the SSE team and multiple external contractors to deliver project excellence
- Oversee the Greens 400kV project execution, ensuring safety, timeliness, and adherence to cost and quality targets
- Champion Safety Management Systems and SSE governance processes across large capital projects
- Foster a culture of safety and collaboration, aligning with SSE leadership values and ensuring inclusive contribution
Key requirements - Engineering or Project Management professional qualification, or equivalent experience
- Experience delivering major infrastructure projects and reporting on progress
- Understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
- Experience with NEC3 Suite of Contracts and related governance/ reporting requirements
