Overview In this role you lead the design, implementation and delivery of Interactive Response Technology (IRT) solutions for global clinical trials. You collaborate with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to translate study protocols into effective IRT designs and ensure correct treatment allocation. As a trusted advisor, you shape system strategy, study configuration and best practices while driving end-to-end project delivery from design to go-live. You work across a diverse portfolio, fostering cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to support life-changing research.
Responsibilities - Design IRT solutions aligned with protocol objectives and operational goals, and author design documentation
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IRT studies, meeting milestones and enabling timely study launch
- Manage scope, risks, changes and budget impacts; coordinate cross-functional delivery teams
- Oversee system quality reviews and support client demonstrations during the project
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing with clients and internal teams
- Guide clients through UAT and ensure issues are resolved before production release
- Act as SME for IRT design and implementation; contribute to process improvements and standards
- Provide study handovers and training to operational teams; mentor junior staff
- Support protocol amendments, system enhancements and audit activities as required
Key requirements - Several years of experience in clinical research, clinical technology or project management
- Hands-on experience delivering and managing IRT solutions
- Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, randomisation and supply management
- Experience working with sponsors, CROs or other external stakeholders
- Proven ability to translate protocols into actionable system designs
- Excellent client-facing consulting and relationship management skills
- Strong planning, organisation, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications
