Job Title: Technical Program Manager (API Infrastructure)

Our client is a global professional services leader currently spearheading a multi-year digital transformation initiative for a premier financial services and insurance institution. This is a long-term engagement with a projected duration of at least one year, though it is expected to extend to five years or more. The project focuses on high-level infrastructure and API integration, offering a stable, high-impact environment for a professional looking to oversee complex, large-scale technical ecosystems.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and corporate strategy. You will oversee a mix of PMO governance and technical platform workstreams, specifically focusing on API-driven projects. Your day-to-day will involve running high-level cadences, managing vendor assessments, and ensuring the technical health of the program across DevOps, SRE, and SDLC domains. While this is a non-coding role, you will use your background in software development to ask the right questions, spot architectural gaps, and provide crisp, data-driven updates to C-suite stakeholders.
- RequirementsTechnical Foundation: Prior professional experience in software development, specifically with Java and Spring Boot.
- API Expertise: Direct experience managing technical projects involving MuleSoft.
- Project Management: Mastery of PMO discipline, including RAID logs, dependency mapping, and critical path management.
- Communication: Proven ability to deliver concise, executive-level updates to C-suite stakeholders.
- Tooling: Proficiency in Jira, ADO, and MS Project for artifact and milestone management.
- Experience: A track record of "Strategy-to-Execution" leadership in large enterprise environments.
- ResponsibilitiesDrive Governance: Execute standups, checkpoints, and Steering Committee meetings; enforce entry/exit criteria.
- Integrate Planning: Build integrated roadmaps and manage cross-workstream dependencies for Platform and Governance.
- Executive Liaison: Translate technical complexities into crisp, actionable status reports for corporate leadership.
- Manage Vendors: Lead third-party assessments and ensure contract and NDA adherence.
- Technical Oversight: Monitor SDLC and application support workstreams to identify and mitigate risks without being the technical owner.
