Plymouth, Devon, UK . This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining strategic office-based planning with essential on-site presence and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle management of fit-out projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's exacting standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing commercial interior projects, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a meticulous approach to cost control, programming, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of high-end commercial fit-out projects from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, programmes, and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate all project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Control project costs, track expenditure, and manage variations to ensure profitability.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and site inspections, reporting on project status.
- Ensure the timely procurement of materials and equipment.
- Mitigate project risks and implement effective solutions to challenges.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager within the fit-out and refurbishment sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial interior projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and contract administration.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and relevant financial tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong commercial acumen and cost control capabilities.
- SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS Black Card are essential.
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Client-facing experience and strong relationship-building skills.
