About the Role
Our client, a global leader in renewable
energy development, is seeking an experienced Offshore Wind Farm Project Manager to oversee significant projects based out of
Glasgow, Scotland, UK . This is a critical role responsible for the end-to-end management of offshore wind farm construction and development, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex logistics, and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. This is a challenging yet rewarding position contributing to the expansion of renewable energy capacity in the
North Sea region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of offshore wind farm projects from concept to commissioning.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Oversee the procurement process, including contract negotiation with key suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, legal, and finance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and investors.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Contribute to the development of company strategy in offshore wind project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in project management within the offshore wind sector, or a closely related offshore industry (e.g., oil & gas).
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of offshore wind technology, supply chains, and installation processes.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Thorough understanding of risk management and health & safety protocols in an offshore environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing site visits and office-based work in Glasgow .
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Must hold or be eligible for relevant offshore certifications and possess the right to work in the UK .
