About the Role
Our client, a leading provider in the
telecoms sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive Telecoms Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK . This role is office-based, ensuring close collaboration with project teams and stakeholders. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of diverse telecom infrastructure projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and a deep knowledge of telecommunications network infrastructure. You will manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
- Oversee procurement processes and manage relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and report on status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial control.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager, specifically within the telecoms industry .
- Demonstrable experience managing complex infrastructure projects (e.g., fiber rollout, base station deployment).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Experience in budget management and risk assessment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the UK telecoms market.
