About the Role
Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver critical infrastructure development projects in Glasgow, Scotland, UK . Key Responsibilities

- Manage project timelines, identifying critical path activities and mitigating delays.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success and safety.
- Liaise with government agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders to secure approvals and manage relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and planning regulations.
- Monitor project progress, reporting regularly to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive innovation and best practices in infrastructure project delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a proven track record in infrastructure development projects.
- Demonstrable experience managing large-scale projects such as transportation, utilities, or public works.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and project management software.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with planning regulations and environmental impact assessments.
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Chartership (e.g., ICE, IStructE) are highly desirable.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and have a good understanding of the Scottish regulatory environment.
