About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the aviation services sector, is seeking a seasoned
Senior Aviation Project Manager to lead diverse and impactful projects. This role is integral to the successful execution of initiatives ranging from infrastructure upgrades to operational enhancements within the aviation landscape. You will be responsible for project planning, execution, stakeholder management, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position operates on a hybrid model, requiring regular on-site engagement for site visits, team coordination, and client meetings, while allowing for remote work for planning, reporting, and administrative tasks. We are looking for a dynamic leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a proven track record in managing complex aviation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of aviation projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and task management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal departments.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all project activities comply with aviation regulations and company policies.
- Manage project budgets and financial forecasts, reporting on financial performance.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide comprehensive status updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion focused on the aviation industry.
- Proven experience managing projects related to airport operations, airline services, or aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
- Ability to effectively manage responsibilities across both on-site and remote work settings.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and operational procedures.
