About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and organized Remote Aerospace Project Manager to lead key initiatives within their advanced aerospace division. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex aerospace projects from conception to completion, managing scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. You will operate entirely remotely, coordinating with diverse, geographically dispersed teams through digital collaboration tools. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across different departments and locations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Manage project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and services, managing vendor relationships and contracts.
- Facilitate effective remote team communication and collaboration using project management software and virtual tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex technical projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of aerospace development processes, manufacturing, and supply chains.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively in a remote setting, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills from the Reading area.
