About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for renewable energy infrastructure projects, from site assessment to commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, resource allocation, timelines, and risk management strategies.
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, including engineers, environmental specialists, and construction crews.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders, including local authorities, environmental agencies, landowners, and community groups, to ensure project alignment and facilitate approvals.
- Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors, and ensure performance.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to assess project viability and identify potential challenges.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports, performance metrics, and financial updates for senior management.
- Champion sustainable practices and innovation throughout project execution.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Project Manager , with a substantial portion focused on infrastructure development, preferably in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind).
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with budgets exceeding £10 million, delivering on time and within financial constraints.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, site development, and environmental permitting processes.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and knowledge of GIS tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote capacity, managing distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Environmental), Energy Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
- Experience working within the East Sussex region or with UK energy infrastructure projects is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with grid connection processes and energy market regulations.
