About the Role
Our client, a leading aerospace solutions provider, is seeking an accomplished Senior Aerospace Project Manager to lead critical projects from conception to completion. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility while requiring key on-site engagement at their **Norwich, Norfolk, UK** location. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing complex aerospace projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing cross-functional teams, stakeholder communications, risk mitigation, and resource allocation. Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Track project progress, performance, and milestones, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
- Oversee procurement, contract management, and vendor relationships as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for process improvement.
- Manage project budgets and financial forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex aerospace projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of aerospace development lifecycles, manufacturing processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and travel as needed.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
