About the Role
Our client, a leading aerospace solutions provider, is seeking an accomplished Senior Aerospace Project Manager to lead critical projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing complex aerospace projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing cross-functional teams, stakeholder communications, risk mitigation, and resource allocation. Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Track project progress, performance, and milestones, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
- Oversee procurement, contract management, and vendor relationships as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for process improvement.
- Manage project budgets and financial forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex aerospace projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of aerospace development lifecycles, manufacturing processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and travel as needed.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
