About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Aviation Project Manager to lead critical projects within their organisation, based in Norwich . This role demands exceptional leadership and organizational skills to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex aviation-related initiatives, from new technology implementations to operational enhancements. You will manage cross-functional teams, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects meet strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The hybrid model allows for effective collaboration with teams on-site while providing the flexibility to manage project documentation and planning remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of aviation projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timelines.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all projects adhere to relevant aviation regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Report project progress, milestones, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in project management, with a significant portion within the aviation industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of aviation operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
