Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT cybersecurity projects, from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Ensure cybersecurity projects align with organizational security policies and industry best practices.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring effective financial control and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with internal security teams, IT departments, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, particularly those related to cybersecurity threats.
- Communicate project status, updates, and potential challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Manage the implementation of new security technologies and systems.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a significant focus on cybersecurity projects.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and mitigation strategies.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects related to network security, data protection, incident response, or security infrastructure.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP are highly desirable.
